Forgotten Youth

We are the forgotten youth Our forests burned Our oceans warm We drink from the water hole Polluted with filth of day before We are the forgotten youth We live our days in the shadows of the past Our villages are built upon the remains of a civilization that once was We were lost. But we rebuild. We are the forgotten youth Fed false truths for years And we believed without question We are the forgotten youth Our mouths bitter with the taste of betrayal We were naive, not anymore But now it's too late We are the forgotten youth The sun rises on our backs We prepare for another day in hell. Silently.

Great job, Felix, this shows real insight; every generation goes through a period of anonymity where nothing seems to change. Welcome to the soup my fellow Canuck.
