Forgotten Girl

Soon you'll be the forgotten girl, you'll no longer be on my mind
My heart will heal and I'll move on in time
They say men don't have emotions, so I guess I'm not a man
Please leave me to deal with this pain alone if you can

People aren't always who they appear to be as the saying goes
as soon as you walked away my warm heart suddenly froze
You took advantage of a kind man and broke a big heart
I'll speak about the hurt and allow it to show in my art

I healed your wounds, gave you all of my love, time and effort
You didn't even make me feel appreciated or respected
I want you to find happiness, but at the moment the thought of you with another man makes me sick
Deleted our pictures, and blocked your social media because I don't want to see when you take a pic

I've still got more tears to cry, Vodka to drink and love songs to listen to
But in a few weeks my heart will have fully stopped missing you
The beautiful memories currently feel like painful nightmares
I wasted so much love and time on a girl who didn't care

Just another heartbreak, and relationship that didn't work
Hopefully we both find what we're looking for and what we deserve
My heart will move on, It's almost time
Soon you will be my forgotten girl, and will no longer be on my mind
