Forgotten Field Of Forever
Thinking back, in daze and all glassy-eyed
Remembering back when, when I was young
Yesterday's afternoon, I nearly cried
I guess my age now made me feel high strung
That life field, I played at so long ago
My friends and I built forts and sleigh rid there
And still, the plants that I planted- still grow
My sister's flowers, from her love and care
Wonder why, no one plays there anymore
We'd have so much fun there when were tots
Children really don't play outside no more
Computer games have their hands tied in knots
As I sit in silence, thinking back then
Those good old days were the best, way back when
