Forgotten Breeze
Soft and tangible nature caresses my skin
as if to comfort me in its own sorrow;
a soothing sound
soaring over the savannas.
Silky ripples in the tall grass
appear to hush time itself;
all is silent while they embrace
searing wounds in human minds.
Seeping into the cracks of
an icy heart after wisdom has hardened it,
after kindness has left
surely this tender breeze will strive unto oblivion.
