Forgotten

Version 1:

Tempting feelings of significance
Once told a reminiscence
Of presence and permanence
That's long lost forgotten since.

An aroma emergent from arrogance
And stench of my rotten reverence
Both longing desperately a fragrance
That's long lost forgotten since.

An ego afraid of evanescence
An experience devoid of essence
My being before my existence
That's long lost forgotten since.

But my cosmic lens of clairvoyance
Though blurred believes better ambiance
Hence kept framed each occurrence
That's long lost forgotten since.

Version 2:

Tempting feelings of significance
Once told a reminiscence
Of presence and permanence
An occurrence long forgotten since.

An aroma emergent from arrogance
And stench of my rotten reverence
Both longing desperately a fragrance
An essence long forgotten since.

An ego afraid of evanescence
Of being blithe resonance
That devours serene experience
An importance long forgotten since.

But my cosmic lens of clairvoyance
Though blurred believes better ambiance
Kept framed each moment hence
An existence long forgotten since.
