Forgiveness

A eleven letter word that confuses me
People say forgiveness bring peace
They say, it heals.

Open up new doorways
Start new chapters
Yet I am here to debate.

Forgiveness lets see
I forgave a woman once for stealing my husband
The very next day she conceived.

Not one but two
She divided my unhappy home
Took me through the battlefield.

Placed my tears in a jar
Causing me to wish upon a star
Forgiveness I am here to debate.

I knew a boy once
Who gave me his heart
My careless ways.

My selfish actions
Brought him nothing but pain
One could say, I made him go insane.

I am ashamed
I am to blame
Now nothing is the same.

Forgiveness I am here to debate
My heart is in pain
Wish you could stop the rain.
