Forgiveness
The silent footfalls of the long lost son
Came up the dim pathway on a run
Longing and shame in every vein
To err is human to forgive divine
Down the road the teenager wailed
For her P-test had failed
It showed the extra line
To err is human to forgive divine
Human nature falls to temptation
And later in need for redemption
Always waiting for the holy sign
To err is human to forgive divine
