Forgiveness
He is your God, for you know Him,
And mine, do I? Chances are slim,
Yeah, perhaps I do too, much too much.
Lesser still, it could also be such.
Yet there you are and here I am,
Chewing sweet nothings of Jim-jam,
Raising banners, offering a mundane prayer,
When deep down there’s no surrender,
Children are we, of disobedience,
Cutting corners in spiritual resilience,
He, whom we know is forgiving Vastness,
Us we are, failing in forgiveness.
Yet, this Cinderella of the soul,
Can turn our hearts into Gold.
