Forgive Me

I can be a wretched man I can be a cheater I can be a lazy man I can want to die I can fail to smile I can refuse humility I want to be better I want to be loyal I want to deserve it I want to live I want to not fear smiling I want to be enough for myself Can you give me one more chance I know I’ve blown it before Can you help me become something better I know I can be so much better I hope God doesn’t give up on me I grew up wanting love and loved everything How did I become this broken? How did I choose the path I’m on? Why can’t I return back to the better path? I thank God every day for a second chance Forgive me, I want a second chance. I want to show the world a better me. I want to make the world a place worth living.
