Forgive Forget
they say forgive and forget
but when I hear your name
the old anger rushes back in
I realize
I didn't forgive
I didn't forget
I remember
the hurt
the pain
your memory
just when I think I have forgotten
and let it go
and haven't thought of you in a long time
then I hear your voice
the old anger rushes back in
I realize
I didn't forgive
I didn't forget
I remember
the tears
the anger
your memory
they say time pain heals all broken hearts
when will my healing start
If only I could
forgive and forget
