Forgetfulness

FORGETFULNESS older folks need circles of golden rings so we don’t get excited for youthful things my laundry would never get hung up if not for a glass of wine in a buzzing cup funny how the forest obscures my mind from my family tree i grow deaf and blind if not for the thundering clouds and pounding rain i’d forget my knickers are paper-clipped to my brain Kim Rodrigues © 2017

I love the humor, the creativity and smooth flow of this poem. I am myself plagued by being extremely forgetful.. Yet tis better to laugh at it, than moan and cry about it. A7
