Forgetful Jean

Now Jean, did you remember to grab your keys?

Did you shave the hairs beneath your knees?

You carry your tea cup every where you go

The lost and found, it has come to know

Jean Jackson! Where on earth is your floor?

Is there not another place for your things to store?

You show up for dinner with rollers in your hair
And wonder why the people stare

Grandma Jean! Have you lost your ever loving mind
You went to the bar, leaving the grandchildren behind!

We had plans to meet, but you didn't show
Did you simply forget or decide to forgo

Well gosh Jean, you left me a message on my machine
You didn't answer my call, but you said to give you a ring!

So much time has passed since you went away
We didn't speak much, you had little to say
I finally know you. I've learned a lot
You didn't despise me, you simply forgot
