Forget Yesterday, Forgive Tomorrow

Wake up, wake up! Appears the sunshine
It’s a new day, read the signs
Free your mind from yesterday’s soliloquy
Reap all positivity for your consciousness to see.

It may seem oddly lonely
Like a soul detached to a person’s body
But it is all in my sanity
I demand to free myself from everything unworthy

Like a painting, it’s timeless
What begins today may have ended yesterday
I live not by how the clock ticks but with how my spirit is fixed
Therefore my sunshine is indefinite, my sunset I’ll seize it

So if we speak of tomorrow
It means carry on even with leftover sorrow
The sun still rises, the heart still beats
Yesterday was time’s nasty humor
Play the joke, grasp the future!
