Forget My Laugh?
A time ago, a spoken word hit me in the heart
Verses of poetry and lyrics of songs made music in the air
Lifted in voice and joy I began to cry
The familiar voice made way to my memory unknown
Scenes the fell in place made pavement of film
A movie it was, and my face was in every act was I the main protagonist
Simple ink, blank sheets of paper were my lifes luxuries
An empty pen which died long ago was my leech
A sharp point, that many times drew blood refelcted the sun into my eyes
It was hard to write, for there was no sight to aid my block
The ink flowed past my nostrils
Fresh memories of a life ago
Caress my dreams that they bring joy to my heart
Believe that I too smile and frown
On my knees I pray to my God
Father forgive me for I am a sinner, in your hands I leave my spirit Papa
Amen.
