Notes About The Poem

Forget Me Not

Minuscule sapphire blooms,
timid starlight eyes
verdant foliage swaddles,
exquisite, elegant sight

tranquil, serene, meadows
flamboyant petals play
vibrant, petite, bouquets
baring messages to relay,

soothing mother's anguish,
in sorrow, you're not alone
dainty flowers cradle,
words they cannot say

Very sad. I once saw a row of very old graves, they were all of infants. My friend lost her baby boy forty years ago, and the pain I feel toward her loss cannot be truly expressed. I cannot express the deepest grief & sympathy of my heart to you. Words fail me. I will quote your words "dainty flowers, cradle the words, they cannot say... forget me not" May you and any touched by grief be cradled in Peace.

Thank you for your lovely message, I wanted to write something special for my angel baby, loved but never held, and all the other angel babies. Forget me nots are my favourite flowers. Thank you for taking the time to read my poem, and for your comment.
