Forged As One
The intensity of love's
heat was gradual at first.
And then a shower of sparks,
spontaneously dispersed.
Fueling fledgling feelings,
flames burned an exquisite blue.
And slowly shifted scarlet,
as desire and passion grew.
My inhibitions melted,
into pools of liquid fire.
And, as temperatures climbed,
my hopes rose even higher.
Our souls melded together,
two, forever forged as one.
And the heat of our union,
rivaled the heat of the sun.
