My Forever wasn’t even a second, Not even a blink of my eye, As your “beautiful” sped past me today, Leaving me pondering “Why?” Why did our eyes reach out to each other, Why are you inside of my mind, Why have you taken over my every thought, Why did you leave me behind. These thoughts shook my hands today, We could’ve met for real, however, These thoughts of you are all I have, These thoughts are my after Forever. For John Lawless' Contest "After Forever" written Friday 15th December 2017 Awarded a 3rd place

I loved this take on the theme Lewis. Those brief "forever" encounters that flash past us.....but linger. Thanks for participating in the contest
