Forever Asleep (Eulogy)
Here I am,forever asleep,
Here I lie,so cold and deep.
The Lord shall take,my sul
to keep.
No prayers from you,I shall
repeat.
When I was awake,I tried,
and tried.
I've taken the time,and
swallowed my pride.
Here I am,so very cold,
in the ground,and very
old.
If I were alive,I'd be
so bold,and let you
know,that you've been
told.
Here I lie,so short
and sweet.
Being down here,just
ain't no treat.
Please help me Lord,
and warm my feet.
If I were you,would
sraighten up,or you'll
be here,facing up.
So,here I'll be,to
rest and rest.
Someday,I'll be,with
the best.
Say a prayer,and
let me be.
To rest alone,by
this tree.
