Forest Trees

Trees in the  forest
The leaves fall spreading
Shedding piling down
No one rakes them
They just spread outward

When winter returns
With the first snowfall 
Bare trees are coated
With the snow blanket
Feeling dressed and warm

Darlene! Stunning imagery, you know me))) like it green all year! 35 years in Chicago was more tha enough, love it sybbt and freen all year, It gets colder at night, but never freezing cold. Easier on wildlife, too. California Pangie.

Hello Daniel, When thew trees are bare they feel the cold. When the snowfalls the snow on the bare boughs feel warm. When it is freezing rain the bare trees sparkles lkike diamonds. Yes it is a sense of peace. Blessings my dear friend. /Darlene/

I enjoyed reading this wonderful "forest trees" write. Their pretty leaves must go so the snow can come. Maybe the trees need a warm coat. Have a blessed day/weekend writing away..................

Hello Paula, Yes when the leaves fall on our propert, we must rake them then bagged them , sending them to the dump. The trees will be warm once the snow coats them with snow. Hugs. /Darlene/

Nicely written Darlene. I can see all your leaves in your yard creating that blanket. When I see leaves I see work lol. We have had lots of rain so raking is out of the question for now. Your poem reminded me of all the work that is left to do...
