I run heedless thru woods
My 'shalls' and my 'shoulds'
Streaking 'hind me, in tow
Burning spans while I go
Thus before I place foot
I have rendered all, soot
One deep forest of haste
A heart old and displaced
Gazing back at the waste
Lost in night, now erased.
