Forced

getting it off my chest
	no better than the rest
yet chosen
	to be with me
was it arrogance or agreed
givn an open door
	for pity
my needs unimportant
so I searched elsewhere
ending with same solution
	choose Love or emptiness
right or wrong
	forced too long.
told you were last choice
	against all inside
said yes
	for no happiness
many nights I cried
	faced with lies.
forced letting go
	Knowing all along
we wouldn’t last long
	I apologize for my part,
could have saved
	heartache and time
never meant to be mine.
needed protection
	you couldn’t provide.
no need for goodbye.
