Forbidden Yet Smitten

I defend you Behind the sights of your eyes Like the sun would beam still In a sky so grey The loyalty is true, in love Yet like the temptation of the forbidden fruit This tree of forbidden love Defined by life deemed unfair Though still, completely smittened by the idea of you This mind lost in translation, racing As my heart beats physically Though silent from words While standing right next to you I defend and fight for you Even moreso Like a heart worn on a sleeve Unbeknownst to the soul in you
