Forbidden Cavern
Gaze inside this darkened cavern
Random thoughts dripping aimlessly
Slithering down its dank walls
Searching for acceptance yet finding none
Hidden now within this facade
Images dressed for the world to see
The real me bound and shackled
Thrown naked and yearning
Upon a satiny bed of unfulfilled desires
Tightly held by heavy chains
Binding my deepest thoughts
Longing to breathe, taste and be set free
But all I am is forbidden
Within this oh so very polite society
My yearnings vile or unspeakable
Forbidden in this hall of mirrors
Where masks are acceptable
And the truth is denied
Welcome to the cavern of my mind
