For You
For You,
I captured the moon in a bucket
Floating in a pool of tears.
I held the stars for you
to contrast
the blackness of your heart.
I will not dare the Sun
ere it render me a shadow.
And I am lost
to the darkness
of your indifference.
Were it mine
I would give you the World.
Yet I fear
For me
there would be no place.
I have become
a singularity
Collapsing in upon myself
until
there is only you
the distant event horizon
in a universe of
one.
