Notes About The Poem
How much are we willing to give, of time, energy, of ourselves?

For You

For You

A flame that’s buried deep
I did not know if it was lost or died
but when I think of you that flame
swells into life, my genie is released.

It may consume the better part of me
but I will blaze till ashes fill my mouth
however brief the fire and its light
I’ll give all you are asking of my heart.
