For the Love of April
oh, Spring glad you are here...
I have been waiting all Winter for you
glorious will be this month of awakening ...
April showers will bring me flowers
some soft and delightful
like cherry blossoms ...
~ and sweet pansies in every single bright hue
and daffodils and tulips and lilies
and snowdrops with petals that hang like charms ~
will wear dreamy delightful sundresses
and sandals on my feet to go walking ...
oh, yes, I will go for strolls
to roadside farmer's markets or a garden nursery
with a "spring" in my step ...
~ in the forest wildflowers are blooming everywhere
buttercups, daisies, lupine and meadow rue
and soon, wild strawberries and raspberries ~
oh yes, Spring is the month of blossoming
when the Lord paints our world bright with love
with new beginnings and hope for the world
Spring is a month to be thankful ...
even if you feel despair ... give it to the Lord
let him carry the load for you
start your attitude right now to "new" ...
~ but I have jobs to do in my own garden ...
seeds to plant and ideas to grow
window boxes and flower pots to fill ~
... so, Spring blessings to all !
