Different than your usual lengthy pieces. But there is power in brevity. This is so sweet, and a beautiful moral to have. It isn't enough to change for someone else just for the sake of not severing the relationship ... you have to want it yourself, otherwise it will be artificial, and in the end ... self destructive. Your use of italics adds the needed punch.
