Notes About The Poem
POEM inspired by some poems of Richard Richard Lamoureux and knowing him a few years now!
For Richard
Richard, here is what I know of you.
You love with all your heart.
It’s evident
from all the joy to others you impart.
Though somewhat grave and complicated too,
you still have smiles enough for everyone,
especially for friends and family,
for you’re a great spouse, brother, dad and son!
You keep your silence but are not afraid
to stand up for the right, and you are heard
through poetry! You love for all to know
your message through the power of your word.
for truth you seek and I am pretty sure
that also you prefer to be a mystery!
Your fears are those that all of us here feel,
so you relate to all humanity.
Though sometimes more a sinner than a saint
you’re apt to be, you know your every flaw,
which makes you strong! And that is why, dear man,
of you and what you stand for, I’m in awe!
