The Harrisham Rhyme was created by Harrisham Minhas, from Punjab, India.

It is a six line rhyming poem with the rhyme scheme: ababab

In this form, the last letter of the first word of each line is the first letter

of the first word of the next line.

On my deck I’m sitting to write this pleasant day. Nary a cloud I see to blot the clear blue sky. Yellow sun is smiling; the grey has gone away. Wind whooshes through the trees. Some bicyclists I spy. Distant traffic , barking dogs, and some kids at play: These sounds spell normalcy! Wind heaves another sigh. Been ages since I read an Andrea poem ... this sort of sounds like my bustling neighborhood, what with all the kids off from school. Nicely crafted.

I wish I was hearing sounds of normalcy. Wait! I am. I live in the country with crowing roosters, trilling cardinals and cawing blue jay. Thank goodness!

here the wind keeps heaving that sigh... we have had many rainy days... not much normalcy at all... I long for it to return as much as each person does... enjoyed this :) hugs
