For My Sister, of Another Color

Love Is Forevermore

We met on the web long ago.
My Black sister and I, her white schmoe.

Our colors made no difference,
Rita doesn't believe in color fences.

Nor do I understand haters in any color,
She said we were sisters of another mother.

Both of us are Michael Jackson fans.
He knew all were made by God's own hands!

We share feelings, emails and pictures, too.
I dont think, she will ever ask me, to apologize for being white,do you?

This Supremacy nonsense belongs in tbe garbage can.
We are both an example of loving your fellow man!

Music, foods, hurt and pain.
Without Rita in my life, there is nothing to gain!

            Love is forevermore

Madelyn Mckay August 4, 2021 at 6:31 AM Many have friends of another colour but we don't see it. Others have spouses of another colour. They are in love. They, too see no colour. One school put the children of mixed race out of the classroom when a special lesson on race was being presented. Now that is racism. The administrators do not know how to handle the realities of the world. We have interracial couples in our family. It is part of the joy in our lives.
