For Girls Filled With Fire
This is for girls filled with fire,
the ones who have been told
‘Tone down. You’re too hot to handle.’
To all the girls who light the way,
the ones who have been told
‘Stop. You don’t have what it takes.’
This is for girls who refuse to listen;
To the ones who take the unfiltered flight?
Those wings are your magic carpet ride;
To all the girls built on rebuilt ashes
the ones who crash and get up again,
those flames fuel your reincarnation;
For all you girls made of fire?
Burn.
