For Beloved Pets Over

(written upon the death at age 14 of our beloved shih tsu Max
 on Aug. 11.)

Over ~
Over
The Bridge
   where they go
To verdant eternal forests
  and fields,
To run and leap free
Without leashes, reigns or chains…
All heaven blessed
With no hunger or thirst
While waiting for us.

I enjoyed reading your powerful and sad write. It is very hard and sad to have a pet go to heaven. I know how you feel. I wish you would write more... "Please" Have a wonderful day writing away............

They are beloved family -- safe, to run free. Great tribute!

Hi Joe, we lost our dear shih tsu Max, aged 14 last month. Our awesome little girl, mini long-hair doxie is now also 14. I’ve written poems (on here) about both. Just this morning, we both ended up crying in remembering our dogs so loved in 1984, who now run free while waiting…Bless you, Joe!
