Foolish Boy
Foolish boy
Can’t you see?
So caught up in her game
You won’t be leaving all the same
I stand by the sidelines
Feeling your world light up
As you see the witch you call “your love”
I can see you stepping on her landmines
Haggish-like nose
Legs skinny as a pole
Freckles stain her gloomy face
God, she’s such a disgrace
For I tried helping you
I tried opening your eyes
To not fall into the trap
That the creature you “love” is setting
All of her friends know her plan
Foolish boy, you’re so blind
Words that sting your ears
Everyone knows she’s not kind
Hair as dirty as her plans
Lips as small as the truth she says
Nails sharps like badger’s claws
She’s ready to tear you apart.
She was named after a flower you say?
She could’ve been named after a flytrap.
Foolish boy, she’s going to kill your hopes and dreams
When she’s done, she’ll throw you in the streets
And after all I did for you
You still chose water over wine.
And her alligator tears
Still show her darker side.
I tried saving you
But you “don’t need my help”
So I’m abandoning ship
And you can save yourself
For you lost someone you once called “best friend”
Just to be with someone whom you’ll never understand.
