Food, Food, Glorious Food

Food, food, glorious food Eating is such a wonderful thing No matter what time of day it is Wolfing down makes my dear heart sing Why I get out of bed each day The smell of bacon frying away Follow my proboscis to the kitchen Where Cathie's prepares brekkie each day It's that oh so heavenly smell Footsies don't even touch the floor Gliding down the stairs like a nymph So enthralled like many mornings before I sit down and dear dear Cathie Serves me brekkie that's fit for a king Burst out with, “What a Beautiful Morning” As we both raise our voices and sing A delightful scene, albeit unusual It's how we Ellisons start off the morn Singing and dancing and kissing and stuff Makes me so overjoyed to be born Food, food, glorious food Eating is such a wonderful thing No matter what time of day it is Wolfing down makes my dear heart sing © Jack Ellison 2014

What is the difference between brown and white... they taste the same! Is it something to do with nutrition or something? Always wondered! XOXOX

Yep! Dragon! Bacon gets all Dragons to breakfast faster than anything else! Even when we close the kitchen door tight. He can still smell it. We give him the first serving. No one is dumb enough to get between Dragon and his bacon! To stay ahead of him. We microwave some from the day before. Don't want him to help us by hurrying things along. No one likes charcoal bacon! Silly Dragon! Controlling his cooking fire early in the morning before a few BIG mugs of chocolate...is not Dragon's thing!

Today We celebrate the first day of lent on the isle and one of the things I dont have today is meat..So you might imagine what a yearning I have to come in the Ellisons kitchen and steal their bacon : ).The title reminds me of Oliver Twist's song..B-).A yummy poem ..My sacrifice counts twice nw.

Hi Jack...what a nice way to be greeted in the morning...the aroma of a fried breakfast and a feeling of love in the air. Like the way you express yourself, a happy song from a happy man on a full stomach :) // paul

Eating is a hobby of mine! In the last year or so, started eating more sensibly and exercising... lost 50 lbs.! Since then, gained back 25! It's called yo-yo dieting! LOL
