Fond Memories
The sun came out this late Fall day
The sky not blue but hazy
It didn't matter anyway
The feeling's summer-lazy
Fresh smiles appeared on people's faces
Their winter hats and coats removed
The grass still green in open spaces
Folks young and old, their mood improved
Too quickly did the day wind down
Too early did the sun set
And yet fond memories can be found
Whose appetite for more whets
