Follow the Leader
He teaches us what it means to be
Righteous, good and kind
Filled with a love that comes from Him
The maker of dreams, the fulfiller
The wonder of the heart
The tender touch, the redeemer
He guides our hearts toward peace
Fills our thoughts with hope
Charms us with His tender warmth
Embraces us in our time of need
Challenges us to keep trying, keep believing
See the light through the shadows
He reminds us what it means to be
Alive, dancing on the edge of serenity
Flowing with life that awakens
The heart to the joy that comes from knowing
He is wise. He is light. He is truth.
He is the One who knows even the misunderstood
He leads us to the silence of a prayer
Whispers elation with smiles, laughter
Abiding peace that relieves the worst
With a healing touch, a sincere love
That dares us to listen to our feelings
With the assurance that we’re His children
He prompts our souls to listen
To the abiding faith, the mercy, the grace
That saves us from our enemy, the devil
The one who would like to destroy our dreams
Thanks to Jesus Christ, we know what it is
To be saved by the One who created us and gave to us…
His life, His truth, His way… throughout eternity, I’ll praise Him!
