Follow the Champions

I'll work my way around any obstacle when things don't go right
Wearing torn shoes on a dark road with no light
Not sure where I'm headed, but I hope I make it home tonight
I'm trying to follow in the footsteps of champions, but this is my own fight

Mayweather, Tyson, Brock Lesnar, I'm a combination of all three
Phone full of numbers, but no one seems to call me
I was there when they needed me, but it turns out they're fake
Tried to trip me up, but it wasn't enough to stall me

I carried on walking despite the fact I was stumbling
Thought I was the best she ever had, she broke my heart and that was humbling
Every young guy has to lose the girl of his dreams in order to grow
But I've cut my feelings off now, so my future girl will hate me for what I refuse to show

A few bad traits like drinking In the club and going to see Lap dancers
My ex is saved in my phone as "You're an idiot if you choose to answer"
Every great person always has a flaw
I'm flawed, but I won't be floored in my fight, I always come back for more

Every obstacle and battle is small once you become a giant
I lost a few rounds, but won the fight, you can't stop my triumph
Learned from my mistakes, but I've got more to make
I've always got more to give, it's time to see how much more my obstacles can take

I'll work my way around any obstacle when things don't go right
Wearing torn shoes on a dark road with no light
Not sure where I'm headed, but I hope I make it home tonight
I'm trying to follow in the footsteps of champions, but this is my own fight
