Flying With the Birds
As night crept softly into my room
My dreams began
to spin
I saw a flock of birds in flight
And I wondered where
they'd been
I Soon was lifted up with them
We soared above
the earth
We sailed beneath the fluffy clouds
And sang with joy
and mirth
We landed back upon the ground
where I stood among
the flock
They looked at me with curious eyes
Some, I think
were shocked
But as the scene began to fade
It was I who
was amazed
For I had flown with the birds that day
I soared above
and gazed
Yes! I had flown with the birds that day
And I could really see
I had flown with the birds that day
And I was really free
(for "I dreamed" contest)
