Flowers of the Sun
Flowers of the Sun
Brown-eyed wonders
warmed by the glow of the
morning sun.
Faces inch upward
drinking golden rays
of sunlight, as if in a dream.
Standing tall, regal,
golden locks dance in
the breeze.
Soft stemmed palms open
holding hands
in a field of glory.
Together bow,
thankful,
at day's end.
