Flowers in my hair 
pigtails light as air  
Sequenced bows oh what flair
for a pretty girl named Claire.
Many headbands I shall wear,   
count them if you dare !

A Joy just to be pretty. Though I never wore a bow nor pig tails -- hum, Bow Tie count? Sal Mineo Pompadour was in style for young men when I was a kid. And Brando Leather Jacket. "Don't be cruel...." .

Dear Rose, so vivid - "pigtails light as air" makes me think of someone bouncing and dancing, carefree and full of life. And "sequenced bows" adds just the right touch of sparkle and glamour. It is a wonderful picture of childhood joy and self-expression through something as simple as hair accessories. Such sweet, innocent charm that would make any little girl feel special.
