Flowers In Love
The tulips kiss the sunlight
in the garden. Seduce the roses'
gullible petals. There is a tiny breeze,
warm and slowly passing, a sigh of relief.
Comfort is picked away by the sunlight scorching,
energy released, collectively yawning.
A rustic can springs water to the open-mouthed
inhabitants of the bed, Volts of energy jump
through the stem. The smiles refract the rays.
Air carriers take rest with their black and yellow
stripes, lay drunk beneath the shade of fragile petals.
As the afternoon draws to a close
the velvet sheet, punctured, is spread across above.
In silver hints of star-light,
Flowers in love dance in the wind.
