Flower Power

nature's wildflowers mowed and burned covered over by words and rock pavement spread by governments don't put a flower in your hair covered over by words and rock fields of white crosses rows on row walls contain names of those that died children traded limbs for sticks and wheels pavement was spread by governments stain-flawed cracked and full of pot holes patched with more pavement and reasons why words are not harder than guns put a flower in your hair and sing songs of peace to the world parking lots are all pavement but dandelions grow in the corner
