Flower In The Sea

Written: April 20, 2024 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As you explore the golden shore of life, A place to call home, where dreams rife. In the depths of your heart, hold dear, A soul who truly listens is always near. Should you ever decide to come back? From this calm place, we set off on track. Feel the depth of my love, unique and true, You were the embodiment of awe that blew. Your brightest star is located in the north, To specify just how I can be brought forth. Maybe when your journey comes to a close, Our link will act over the plain family dose.   How would I pine after the splendor of light? Even a day is within sphere of mortal sight.

The opening lines are overwhelming with emotions of love and longing. This plea to the beloved to comeback to the safety of home where one is eagerly awaiting to receive her is so heart stirring. Lovely sonnet. Enjoyed it much, dear Lasaad!

Splendidly romantic tenor to your poem, my friend. Much enjoyed the love and longing you convey:--- In the depths of your heart, hold dear, A soul who truly listens is always near---

a soft and touching Sonnet, dear Sotto. I felt love and compassion as the narrator hopes the one he loves returns, even for a day. A Sonnet was the perfect form to use; it flowed so eloquently and romantically. Well done! Wishing you a pleasant evening, your poetess friend in Texas, Sara

I like this sonnet with a glimmer of hope for a re-romance. I pray she comes back. I like the sonnet style and the poetic flow it enhances.
