Flower

as cliche as it sounds -
you remind me of the flowers.

and i don’t know which, in particular, but i know your smile blooms like the daffodils in spring,

like the daises after a long rain.

i know your touch is soft, like the petal
of a rose;
delicate and sweet,
with a bit of a kick.

there is not much i am sure of,
not much i know to be true,

but i will forever, whole heartedly believe
that you were a flower once before
and a flower you remain.

(i’ve never smelt something so sweet).

Flowers and this poem make me smile instantly; well done, Michele. So smartly done.
