Floating Free
Out on the water's where I'd like to
be,
in a boat, on a float, wild and free.
Winding down from the days rush,
catching breeze's tender touch.
Warmed by the sun's beaming glow,
my smile abides the ebb and flow.
With waves lapping at the seams,
I'm lulled away to drift and dream.
And while birds sing my soul alive
for a moment, I too soar the sky.
