Flipping Birds

Be seen and not be heard
What old folks as wisdom served
Till they are alone
In retirement home
They regret saying those words

For children grow up to be
Adults eventually
And if denied words
They flip the bird
And ignore the old enjoying free speech

This is beautiful. No kidding. I'm all for intergenerational communication. Why do we have terms like young adult, middle age, and old?

Not everyone feels that way but I assume you have family and a great relationship with them. Good for you Tom.
