Flippin' Nora

North West England gripped
Wallace, Gromit full of quips
on everyone's lips
Netflix chiefs ask Who's Nora...
why was this poor woman flipped?

Thr rhyme is great. I do not know exactly what it is about. It piques my imagination.

Hi Hilda, I am not sure many will! You may not be familiar with Wallace & Gromit cartoon films full of (North West) English warmth and humour. The latest film (Wallace & Gromit: Vengance most Fowl) sponsored by Netflix, was essential Christmas Day viewing here. Netflix US bosses apparently baffled by some of expressions used, eg "Flippin' Nora". The transatlantic misunderstanding was a funny story in our local paper. Well it tickled me anyway! Best wishes for 2025 :)
