Notes About The Poem

Flight To Freedom

Something’s amiss, in this matrix All that we see, is doomed to die Our form’s but sticks and bones and bricks Within which ego’s up to tricks Delusion - heart’s cry, as we sigh When feral urge, we don’t decry Trauma bonding with lower mind The time’s now hermit, to ask why Going through turbid earth life grind Heart’s desires grip us in their bind If only we dwell in silence Bliss ours, if we’re with love aligned Rekindling inner sentience Bursts forth innate luminescence God’s light aglow, in cave of heart Cascading bliss effervescence 08-March-2022

If only we where allowed to live in silence Seeker, your first stanza I totally agree, your second one to a certain extent from the hermits pov, the third is where our paths diverge, for me to live in silence I must pander to an oppressors will, and I refuse to, your final stanza I feel can only be achieved if we are not controlled by oppression and terror tactics, I feel incumbent to protect my family existentially, of course I’m only giving my opinion based on the society I live in, cheers David

Silence is not negation of life but rather recognition of ‘who am I’ as soul or spirit, whereupon we live internally, vibrantly, in but not of the world, engaged in activity but detached from outcomes. We play our life role as a conduit of God’s will and life force. As for oppressors, the Mahabharata is the best example - Krishna (God) asking Arjuna to engage in battle to uphold righteousness

Existentially & spiritually true ... at least I experienced this between 17&20 years of age. Living the. At Divine Life Society ashram, I felt I was going through the motions of college, which didn't matter, as I wanted more meditation, mind-work. This poem took me there ... ThanX
