Flight Qz8501
Abruptly now
Sad tragedy strikes;
Flight enroute
Bad weather
Storms magnify;
Erupt and hurl
Airplane turmoil
In stormy squall;
Now lost at sea
Surabaya takeoff
Bound for Singapore;
Java Sea crash
Search and Rescue teams
Mounting massive search;
A time-sensitive hunt
Bad weather and time
Pressure our urgency;
A blindfolded seeking
Debris afloat
Physical recovery;
Death deals remains
Our collective humanity
Shines in compassion;
To try the impossible
The news highlights
Speak of no good news;
Time will unravel stuff
We say a simple prayer
For the souls lost at sea;
May the light of love shine
May grace and goodwill
Show you the way;
To walk to that great light
And for the sad living
May you find closure;
Let faith repair beyond despair
So sad this weary world
When weather swirls terrible;
A catastrophic tragedy
Alas! We come and go
In any form we know;
To start is to end
