Flight

So it stopped, I hoped it did sooner
Now with time I know I've grown meaner
Like a whirlwind that passed I did not realize
Before the hangover could pass, they picked me up to revive..
If this was all that had to be,
I could still be okay..
But this life just has no sanity
Stained again with insecurities
Before I could even think of flight

An emotional write. I think in one way or another poets are companions with insecurity in its various forms.
